We’re working with a market research agency based in South West London who are looking for someone to join their healthcare team as a Qualitative Junior Research Executive.

Our client is a medium-sized agency that works on a variety of projects across retail, media, automotive, pharma, tech and telecoms. They’re an agency who are looking to grow and to expand their capabilities utilizing a combination of qualitative, quantitative and complex analytical techniques. They aim to bridge the gap between standard research agencies and business consultants by working closely with clients to translate insights into actionable business plans and actions.

The Role:

This Research Executive role will be within our client’s Healthcare team.  Projects in this team are predominantly qualitative, however, an interest of quantitative research is beneficial.

You’ll be an active and engaged member of the Healthcare team providing team and project support, whilst gaining valuable experience across techniques, methodologies and countries.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include being an integral member on projects (managing 2-3 projects at any one time), supporting the project lead in all aspects of projects – from set up, client communications, attendance of international fieldwork, moderation, analysis through to writing a full draft of the report/presentation.

The Candidate:

  • Graduated with at least a 2:1
  • Prior experience in a business environment with exposure to research is essential.
  • Experience or a demonstrable interest in healthcare
  • A strong organiser and project managemer.
  • An ability to recognise key themes and insights.
  • A knack for the creative and the ability to create visually engaging output.
  • Demonstrates a desire to think beyond the obvious, asking questions and undertaking research that can be applied to his/her work.
  • Beginning to go beyond basic data presentation by looking for engaging and visually interesting ways to display data. Learning skills in storytelling via chart design.
  • Advanced written skills – able to assist senior team members in writing reports, discussion guides, screeners and pre-tasks.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Keeping up to date with clients’ industries is essential.
  • A calm and positive attitude.
  • Experience in Desk research.
  • Preparing proposal job costs and presenting them to project leads.
  • Providing strong support on larger research project and the ability to lead on smaller projects, with the support of the team.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Knowledge of some research fundamentals.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Enjoys contributing to ideas generation.
  • Understands the fundamentals of qualitative and quantitative research, and data collection methods.
