This role sits within the Advanced Analytics team – a team with a mixed skill set covering marketing science and data modelling, the development of web applications, interactive data visualisation and report automation. The team works seamlessly across the business to deliver high quality, cutting-edge research solutions to clients in various sectors. They also research, evaluate and adapt new technologies and approaches to build proprietary data products in the fields of text mining and image processing. Projects they work on include segmentations, key driver analysis, conjoint and multivariate analysis.
The main responsibility of the role is to manage the data and the report automation for their large international tracking studies. This includes organization and maintenance of the databases, data quality checking, running ad-hoc analysis requests, and building new and maintaining existing reporting automation processes. Report automation processes involve creating VBA-based interfaces between e.g. SPSS and MS Office applications.
The Reporting Analyst also proactively identifies opportunities for automation across the business in order to increase general efficiency. Therefore, an understanding of how to build an automation pipeline from start to finish would be desirable, including the ability to visualize large evolving data maps.
With this role you’ll also receive support and training, with the opportunity to learn to use complex tools such as Python and R.
The successful candidate will have advanced experience MS Office VBA macro programming. It is essential that they are able to read and write in VBA, building and modifying macros. The successful candidate will also have a good repertoire of commands in SPSS syntax. Being able to recode, compute and manipulate data is key as well as having some knowledge of SPSS Syntax macros if possible. They will need a good understanding of the management of data and databases, how to check data and know how to organize data efficiently.
