Research Manager for Boutique Strategic Insight Agency | Based Surrey | to 45k

This boutique strategic insight agency provide both qualitative and quantitative bespoke research consultancy to their clients, including Travel, FMCG, Telecoms are looking for a research manager to joining their growing team.

The Role:

The primary responsibility in this role is to ensure the successful management of projects from inception to completion.  Hands-on involvement in project management on a daily basis is essential.  However, the ability to lead and develop more junior members of staff is also key.

Key Responsibilities:

o to take overall responsibility for research projects:
o leading all stages of the research process from project commission to successful completion
o maintaining excellent relations with clients and suppliers to maximize effective project execution
o leading the design of all research materials associated with a study – from questionnaire design to data tables and presentations/reports
o ensuring that all research materials are effectively checked and managed by members of the project team
o co-ordinating the involvement of internal teams at appropriate times within the survey process (in particular, the analysis team)
o managing the presentation process, ensuring that all data and conclusions are effectively checked
o delivering insightful and impactful presentations
o ensuring that all costs related to a study are effectively managed
o to support the sales’ team in their pitch processes
o to work as part of a committed and dedicated team to deliver high quality service to all clients and hence maximize client retention and team development
o to develop the skills of more junior team members

Skills & Experience Required:

Candidates must have a degree, and have extensive experience of quantitative research, with a substantial amount gained within an agency environment. In addition:

o Proven ability to lead projects throughout the project lifecycle
o Proven ability to manage clients, suppliers/agencies
o Experience of different research methodologies (PAPI, CAPI, CATI, CAWI)
o Impeccable analytical skills/ability to interpret numerical data
o Ability to write in a clear, succinct manner
o Ability to think beyond the research and deliver key insights
o Ability to absorb new information and keep up to date on industry advancements
o Passion for challenges and own development
o Line management experience desirable although not essential
o Desire to contribute to the ‘team spirit’ that makes all projects a success
