Our client is an award-winning market research led consultancy specialising in international business to business (B2B) research. Their success is based on two key factors – always putting clients first and demonstrating sound business and strategic understanding alongside solid research skills.

They work with leading blue chip clients across the b2b landscape including, Google, Facebook, Vodafone, MasterCard, Worldpay, Samsung, Brother, Nuffield. Plus names you never will have heard of, but will suddenly start seeing everywhere.

They work solely on adhoc project based business with their success firmly underpinned by the quality of the work we deliver to clients.

Our client has achieved outstanding growth over the last few years, recently joined a larger group and have even more ambitious plans for the future. Their close team is at the core of their success and they are now looking to expand this team further.

THE ROLE- RESEARCH MANAGER

As a key member of the consulting team you’ll lead and grow client relationships, working across a range of client industries. Acting as Research Manager you’ll take on a high level of responsibility throughout projects, designing and implementing projects across a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and delivering strategic recommendations in an engaging and compelling way, helping drive value within our clients’ businesses.

More specifically the role will involve:

  • Management of the full project lifecycle
  • Acting as the key client contact – building rapport and trust, and having the gravitas to push back on your client’s ideas when necessary
  • Designing research programmes, and materials, that enable clients to fully meet their objectives, and which engage the strategic target audience
  • Analysing the results of the research to create a story and provide strategic recommendations to the client
  • Presenting engaging presentations and leading activator workshops that help drive change
  • Building new business skills – growing client accounts, writing proposals, generating and leading initiatives to evolve the Circle offering
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team

THE CANDIDATE

Our client is looking for someone from a research, consultancy or wider marketing or strategy background. They want to add to and enhance the company culture, so more intangible and softer ‘fit’ factors are equally important.

Specific Requirements:

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
  • The ability to work as part of a team as well as being self-motivated
  • Solid experience within consultancy or research
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • An ability to understand the bigger picture and think strategically
  • An entrepreneurial and creative flair for problem solving
