We are working on a rare part-time Data Analyst opportunity with a leading UK broadcaster based in West London.

The Client: Commercial Broadcaster

  • A commercial broadcaster reaching nearly 40 million viewers every month.
  • It distributes original programmes to 200 territories.
  • Numerous well-loved channels, two of which account for nearly 10% of the British commercial TV market.
  • It delivers inspired channels to audiences through Freeview, Sky, BT, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, YouView, Freesat and Amazon Fire.

The Opportunity – Data Analyst

At the start of 2017 this broadcaster embarked on a data programme to allow them to offer a more tailored experience to viewers through their video on demand service.  As the service continues to expand, they are collecting registration data from platforms spanning TV, tablet, PC and mobile.

Naturally, as the database expands, they need additional resource to unlock insights by analysing user level data and develop reporting and visualisations that support business decision making.

This role will initially be a 3 day a week, 6-month contract, paying up to £250 per day.

The Ideal Candidate  –

The ideal Data Analyst will be the type of person who is enthusiastic about data. Further, they will have lots of ideas about how it can be used to transform the way in which a media business operates.

Technically, the ideal candidate will be able to query databases using SQL, extract data from a range of different systems. Additionally, they will be able to provide analysis on users, personalisation and marketing effectiveness. Finally, they will be able to bring insights to life through data visualisation tools.
