Our client is a strategic research and consulting firm, providing market intelligence, analysis and advice to leading organisations in the banking and retail automation, cards and payments sectors around the world. With a team of 28 researchers, they look to build a long term team, and with an extremely low turnover look to nurture a strong environment for learning and development.  This is an ideal position for someone looking for a second job in a company that will help them to expand their skills and give them access to senior stakeholders.

The Role

We are looking for a candidate who speaks either: French, Spanish or German.

The role is focused on international primary and secondary research. This includes surveys, executive interviews, analysis of data and statistics and report writing. As such, the work is both quantitative and qualitative. The role is varied as you will be involved in reports, consulting, newsletters and conference activities. Candidates must be fluent in English (essential) – and must be able to conduct business conversations in either French, German or Spanish.

You will have significant individual responsibility while working as part of larger project teams. As you build your career within the business you will gain increased project manager responsibilities. You will acquire knowledge of and insight into the latest developments in banking and retail automation. Some of the projects they work on include cards and payments plus a wide range of research and strategy consulting projects.

 

The Candidate

This vacancy is ideal for candidates with 2-3 years of research or other post-degree experience – this would perhaps be your second or third job. We are looking for motivated graduate-level individuals able to work on their own and in teams. Successful candidates will typically have a mix of strong communication, writing and numerical skills. The ability to build relationships with research contacts around the world is also a big aspect of this role.

 

Requirements for the role:

  • Business level Spanish, French or German
  • An A in GCSE maths or equivalent qualification
  • Strong academic background (university educated)
