Forward Deployed Engineer | AI-Powered FinTech Start-Up.

  • $200,000 DOE
We are excited to be working with a fast-growing AI FinTech start-up that's hiring its next Forward Deployed Engineer as it scales post Series A.
  • The Company

Our client is an early-stage B2B SaaS company operating at the intersection of AI and enterprise finance. Backed by well-known institutional investors and founded by strong technical alumni, they recently closed a significant Series A and are scaling their team to meet growing customer demand.

  • The Role

You’ll own the technical foundation of every customer deployment – from integration scoping and data validation through go-live and long-term production support. Working directly with enterprise finance teams, you’ll embed with customers, configure the platform around their banking data and ERP systems, and translate complex business problems into concrete engineering work.

This isn’t a pre-sales or solutions engineering role – it’s hands-on, post-sale technical ownership with real product influence.

  • The Candidate

Key attributes of a suitable Forward Deployed Engineer include:

    • Production-Grade Engineering Background – 3-5 years as an FDE or customer-facing SWE, with a track record of shipping code to external customers and owning deployments end-to-end.
    • Technical Depth Meets Client Fluency – Proficient in TypeScript and/or Python, comfortable with data integrations and ERP systems, and able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical enterprise stakeholders.
    • Early-Stage Mindset – You’ve worked at a high-growth startup or made the leap from Big Tech and want real ownership. Fintech or financial services experience is a strong plus.

Founding US GTM Lead | HR Tech.

      • $180,000
Most sales roles give you a playbook. This one asks you to write it.
      • 🚀 Why join?

This isn’t a “go execute someone else’s motion” role. You’ll define ICP, build pipeline from zero, close the first US logos, and lay the foundations for a revenue team. There’s a clear path to VP/Head of Revenue as the team scales. The comp reflects the ambition: $150–180K base, $250–320K OTE, equity with a 5-year exercise window.

      • 🏢 About the company

Our client is a high-growth, London-founded HR Tech platform building agentic AI for the way enterprises actually work: automating workflows across HR, Finance, and Ops. They’re backed by the founders of Slack, Figma, and Shopify, have raised $20M, and already have paying customers like Lovable, Poolside, and Quantexa. Now they’re building in the US and you’d be their first commercial hire here.

      • 📋 The day-to-day

You’ll own full commercial motion of their proprietary product in the US: outbound prospecting, full-cycle selling, early design-partner deals, and GTM asset creation (decks, demos, POVs). You’ll be the direct line between US customers and the product team, feeding in what the market needs. No SDR support. No pre-built pipeline. That’s the point.

📍 San Francisco. On-site Mon–Thu. No visa sponsorship.

      • ✅ The ideal candidate

You’ve closed $100K+ ARR deals with C-suite or VP buyers: ideally in HR, Finance, or Ops. You’ve been a first or founding sales hire before, and you’ve thrived. You build outbound pipeline from scratch and don’t need a warm brand to get meetings. You’re comfortable selling in a category that’s still being defined, and you can hold a credible conversation about agentic AI with technical and non-technical buyers alike.

You actively use AI tools such as Clay, ChatGPT, and Perplexity in your daily workflow.

This isn’t for someone who needs structure to perform. It’s for someone who finds ambiguity energising and ownership motivating.
