Senior Consultant | Boutique Strat Consultancy.

  • £60,000
If your favourite part of consulting is when a room of senior people finally agrees on what to do next, this one’s for you.
  • Why Join? 🚀

    • It’s a small, profitable firm with a 3 to 5 year plan to grow, so you’ll help shape what it becomes.
    • There’s a real route to Manager. They expect the right person to be ready within about a year.
    • c.£60k plus up to 20% bonus, 25 days holiday, a pension and a 5% training budget.
    • You’re in the office one day a week. Most of the team choose to come in about three.
    • You’ll travel roughly once a month for workshops, mostly in Europe, sometimes North America and Africa. ✈️
  • About the Client 🏢

The client is a London strategy consultancy, founded in 2012. It helps global consumer goods companies build growth strategies and get their leadership teams behind them. It works with tobacco, drinks and hotel businesses and a nonprofit, across more than 30 countries.

Tobacco is a big part of the work. If that’s a dealbreaker for you, this isn’t the right role, and that’s completely fine.

Clients now do a lot of their own analysis with AI tools, so the firm’s work is moving toward facilitation: helping senior teams make sense of what they have and decide. A big workshop programme is planned for the next 12 to 18 months.

  • The Day-to-Day 💼

    • Desk research, interviews and analysis to understand a client’s problem
    • Turning that into clear frameworks and PowerPoint stories
    • Designing and running workshops and breakout groups
    • Managing parts of projects directly with client teams
    • Helping with proposals and the firm’s own thought leadership
  • The Ideal Candidate 🙋

You have 3+ years in an agency or mid-sized consultancy, ideally in commercial strategy: market entry, competitor analysis, portfolio work. Your fundamentals are solid, and people actually read your slides.

You’re outgoing and you like being in front of clients. Running a breakout for a room of senior leaders doesn’t faze you. If you’re happiest working on the numbers in the background, you’d probably find this role draining.

You’re comfortable with little hierarchy and lots of autonomy, and you have the right to work in the UK.  If that sounds like you, get in touch and let’s talk. 👋
