🎯 Innovation Consulting Director – Front End (FMCG Innovation) 📍 UK-Based | Hybrid/Remote | Boutique Strategic Innovation Consultancy Are you a hands-on innovation leader who thrives at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and research? Do you know how to guide bold ideas from spark to shelf – and bring clients along the journey? We’re hiring a Director of Innovation (Front End) for a multi-award-winning boutique consultancy that helps global clients unlock growth through strategic innovation. With deep roots across FMCG, manufacturing, and tech, they work across B2C, B2B and D2C to identify opportunities, develop ideas, refine concepts, and launch breakthrough products.
  • 🚀 What You’ll Do

    As a Director, you’ll lead high-impact innovation projects end-to-end—from identifying opportunities through trends and insights to shaping concepts, testing prototypes, and guiding commercial success. You’ll play a pivotal role in:

    • Winning and growing client relationships across FMCG and related sectors
    • Leading strategic innovation projects and delivering exceptional results
    • Moderating innovation research – including focus groups, in-home interviews, and concept testing sessions
    • Facilitating dynamic workshops and sprints to co-create and refine ideas
    • Crafting product briefs and collaborating with R&D and technical teams
    • Applying AI tools and techniques – including prompt engineering, analysis, and automation – to enhance the innovation process

    You’ll join a high-calibre, director-only team that values curiosity, collaboration, and impact.

  • 🎓 What You Bring

    • Proven track record in leading front-end consumer product innovation projects
    • Expertise in moderating qualitative research (e.g. JTBD interviews, concept clinics, ethnographic methods)
    • Experience identifying whitespace opportunities and developing winning concepts
    • Strong communication and facilitation skills – in-person and digital
    • Comfort working independently and collaboratively across a senior team
    • Working proficiency with AI – e.g. crafting prompts, conducting insight analysis, streamlining creative development
